Is Ayahuasca vine Macrodosing traditionally done in the Amazon?

The practice of La Dieta is a revered tradition among the indigenous peoples of the Amazon, promoting physical, mental, and spiritual healing. During this transformative experience, individuals undertake a period of solitude and abstention, taking one of the master plants to receive its healing and wisdom.

The lush rainforest of the Amazon is home to numerous master plants, each with unique properties and benefits. One of the most well-known of these is ayahuasca, also known as the "mother of all medicine." This powerful vine, scientifically known as Banisteriopsis caapi, has been used for centuries by indigenous shamans for its medicinal properties.

Some practitioners prefer to use pure ayahuasca vine for their ceremonies, believing that there is no better way to experience its benefits. Others choose to undergo a dieta, where they live in isolation and abstain from certain foods and activities, or they may opt for microdosing, taking smaller amounts of ayahuasca over an extended period of time. Regardless of the method, the use of ayahuasca is a deeply rooted tradition that continues to hold immense significance in the Amazon

What science says about Ayahuasca vine dieta (Banisteriopsis caapi)?

For centuries, the indigenous people of the Amazon have been utilizing the ayahuasca vine, known as Banisteriopsis caapi, as a tool for healing, initiation, and education. The practice of macrodosing with the ayahuasca vine has become increasingly popular, and the science behind this master plant is beginning to catch up. In this article, we will explore the scientific research behind the ayahuasca vine and the b-carbolines that give it its powerful medicinal properties.

The ayahuasca vine is rich in b-carbolines, specifically harmine, harmaline, and tetrahydroharmine, which are known as MAO inhibitors. In vitro studies have shown that these b-carbolines have powerful activity against monoamine oxidase (MAO)-A and certain enzymes in the human brain. Additionally, b-carbolines also stimulate the release of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is crucial for regulating mood and motivation.

In the body, b-carbolines target enzymes of monoamine oxidase (MAO) that break down and regulate neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin. These alkaloids also affect other neurotransmitter receptors, including DYRK1A, 5HT2a, 5HT2c, I2R, and DAT. By inhibiting the action of MAO and affecting the release of dopamine and other neurotransmitters, b-carbolines in the ayahuasca vine have the potential to help regulate mood, relieve anxiety, and improve cognitive function.

Aside from the b-carbolines, the ayahuasca vine is also rich in proanthocyanidins, epicatechin, and procyanidin. These compounds have MAO-B inhibitory activity and powerful antioxidant properties that help to protect nerve cells from oxidative free radicals.

The ayahuasca vine is a powerful master plant that has been used for centuries by indigenous people for healing and initiation. Modern science is beginning to catch up and understand the science behind the ayahuasca vine and the b-carbolines that give it its medicinal properties. Whether you are seeking to relieve anxiety, regulate mood, or simply improve cognitive function, the ayahuasca vine may be a valuable tool on your journey to wellness.

What is special about dieta
with Ayahuasca vine?

Our approach to ayahuasca macrodosing is rooted in a combination of traditional understanding and scientific research. Unlike other providers who may suggest taking only a few drops per day, we understand through research that such small doses will not be effective in producing the desired effects.

The key active components in ayahuasca are the b-carbolines harmine, harmaline, and tetrahydroharmine, which are monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). As such, there are certain restrictions to consider when determining the optimal dose of ayahuasca.

To determine the appropriate dose, we looked at several studies, including the work of Dennis McKenna from 1984 and Jonathan Ott's "Pharmacology of Oral DMT Plus Harmine." From this research, we determined that a typical ayahuasca brew contains 6.68% b-carbolines, with harmine accounting for 4.67%, harmaline for 0.41%, and tetrahydroharmine for 1.6%.

To ensure effectiveness, we recommend a daily dose of 24 ml of ayahuasca for the duration of the course. This macrodose will contain approximately 112 mg of harmine, which is the minimum effective dose of 1 mg per kg of body weight. In comparison, other providers' microdoses may only contain between 4.67 and 30 mg of

By following this approach, we are confident in delivering an effective ayahuasca macrodosing course
