Sacred Icaros: The Sound
of Shipibo Ceremony

Icaros are sacred songs that Amazonian healers learn directly from Teacher-Plants, while practicing dietas in the Rainforest. These songs are the tool to connect participants with Amazonian Spirits and its energies.

Here at APL we host ceremonies with a deep respect to the traditional knowledge.
Your experiences will be orchestrated by Master Shamans singing their sacred Icaros at our Ayahuasca retreats in Spain, Ecuador & Peru.

Is Ayahuasca
legal in Spain?

In Spain, ayahuasca is not specifically listed as a controlled substance under national law. Several court decisions have ruled that ayahuasca, when used in private, closed, and non-commercial settings, is not subject to international control and is not regulated as an illicit drug by the Spanish state.

Our programs operate exclusively as private cultural gatherings for members of the association, in line with these precedents and in a manner that respects all applicable regulations.

However, it is important to be aware that countries such as the United Kingdom, Israel, France and many others have imposed strict regulations on the use of ayahuasca, rendering it illegal in those jurisdictions.

Frequently Asked Questions About
Ayahuasca Retreats in Spain

At our center, we are solely focused on Ayahuasca ceremonies, operating within a respectful, and responsible environment.

While Ayahuasca offers a unique pathway for spiritual healing and self-exploration, we do not incorporate other entheogens such as Buffo Alvarius (which contains 5-MeO-DMT), San Pedro, Yopo (which contains DMT), or Magic Mushrooms into our retreats.

The reason behind this is the potential for physical and spiritual side effects when combining these powerful substances, which can lead to confusion and psychotic breaks. It's crucial to approach each plant medicine with the respect and dedication it deserves, allowing for a deep and meaningful connection. Therefore, we commit our time and space exclusively to Ayahuasca to ensure a focused and transformative experience.
